Pre & Post Care Instructions
Pre-Treatment Instructions
To achieve optimal results and minimize the chance of bruising or complications:
Avoid blood-thinning medications (e.g., Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve) and supplements like vitamin E, garlic, omega-3, and St. John’s Wort for at least 3 days before your appointment.
If you have cardiovascular conditions, consult your doctor before stopping aspirin.
Do not use neurotoxins if you are allergic to their ingredients or have a skin infection at the injection site.
Post-Treatment Instructions
To ensure the best outcomes and proper healing:
Avoid touching your face and wearing makeup on the day of your procedure.
Refrain from tanning, extensive sun exposure, or heat (e.g., saunas, hot tubs) for 24 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that raise your heart rate for 24 hours.
Do not lie down or bend over with your head down for 4 hours post-treatment; squat instead of bending at the waist if needed.
Minimize alcohol and salty food intake to reduce swelling.
If bruising occurs, apply ice for 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off, for the first 24 hours.
Avoid facials, massages, and exfoliating treatments for 24 hours.
Wait until the next day before wearing hats or headbands.
Use Tylenol (acetaminophen) for discomfort; avoid NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin for 24 hours.
Follow up 2 weeks after your first treatment for reevaluation and adjustments if necessary.
